Improving Strength

Improving Strength 1 HH Fitness Personal TrainingMichelle was working in Bristol for 2 months and had recently recovered from an illness.  She approached HH Fitness for some personal training sessions while she was in Bristol and to help her improve her cardio-vascular fitness and strength.  Michelle also had a skiing holiday approaching and hoped that she could be fitter for that.

Michelle was a keen runner and wanted Helen to provide additional 30 minute exercise sessions twice a week on the Downs in Bristol, before she started work.  Michelle would run up to the Down’s from where she was staying and meet Helen for some intensive exercises before jogging back.

Helen was keen to measure Michelle’s upper body and abdominal strength, so conducted tests for ¾ push-ups and sit-ups in 1 minute.  On Michelle’s first day, she did 25 push-ups in 1 minute and 26 sit-ups, in 1 minute.

Two months later and at the end of her stay in Bristol, Michelle’s fitness was showing significant improvements.  She was happier with her body shape and improved muscle tone and looking forward  to some stronger and faster skiing the following week.

On her last session with Helen, Michelle achieved and excellent 39 push-ups in 1 minute and 27 sit-ups in 1 minute !
